The Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources (AFNR) Career Cluster focuses on the essential elements of life-food, water, land, and air. The career cluster includes a diverse spectrum of occupations, ranging from farmer, rancher, and veterinarian to geologist, land conservationist, and florist. It also includes non-traditional agricultural occupations like wind energy, solar energy, and oil and gas production.

  • Advanced Animal Science (dual credit)

New Boston High School AFNR courses prepare students for careers in welding, mechanics, environmental and agricultural engineering, and environmental science.

Braven Smith has taught Agricultural Mechanics for five years. He has been a part of the New Boston ANFR program for two years. In his spare time, Mr. Smith enjoys working mules and hunting.
